Enrichment at Pine Hill - 2014-2015

CSA's Enrichment Program has earned a far-reaching reputation for offering inventive, hands-on, and meaningful educational initiatives that enhance the core curricula of Grades K-5 and literally bring the educational experience alive for our students.

We are looking forward to another exciting year of programs by giving our students access to master performers in the areas of music, visual arts, math & science, story tellers & authors, theater and puppetry.

These programs would not be possible without the tremendous support of CSA by Pine Hill families. We thank you for your much-needed donations of time and money.

If you would like to become involved with enrichment please contact Krisha Mahoney or Ann Whitlock.

All Grades:

For the 2014-2015 school year, CSA is excited to offer four Enrichment programs designed for the whole student body.

In November we welcomed Voici Angelica. A musical trio that traced the migration of early humans across the globe using maps, songs and instruments.

On January 20 we have David Zucker performing Poetry in Motion. David packs an old steamer trunk brimming with props, costumes, masks and puppets and introduces his cast of characters drawn from the world’s best children’s poems. This performance is funded by a generous donation from the Sawin Fund. In March the Sherborn Arts Council will sponsor the George Russell Jr. & Co. Band who will perform Clap Your Hands, a performance which explores the rise and changing roles of music in the African-American community.

We will wrap up the year with a lively performance by Ball in the House- a Boston based a capella group. This performance has been funded by a generous grant from the Sherborn Business Association

Please join us in the Pine Hill School Auditorium on Fridays at 8:40am to see your contributions at work!

Our Kindergarten programming complements the grade-wide curriculum perfectly. We will welcome Big Joe the Storyteller, The Eric Carle Museum, local author and Pine Hill parent Betsy Goldberger, an African Dance and Drum Troupe and Bugworks with their creepy crawly friends to Pine Hill this year.
