Enrichment Update
This month the “Understanding Our Differences” program is being taught at Pine Hill for the first time. The program, designed for 2nd grade students, is addressing “Physical Disabilities” in January and in March the children will learn about different “Learning Disabilities.” The overall message is that “We are more alike than we are different.”
This wonderful program, taught for more than 20 years in the Newton Public School system and for the past 10 years at Chickering Elementary in Dover, teaches our children to be more inclusive and understanding of those that may be a little different than they are.
Our second graders will also enjoy a special presentation on Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad this month.
